Wild & Scenic Film Festival

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival returns to Walla Walla this fall, offering two evenings of breathtaking cinematography, bold storytelling, and films that inspire both wonder and action. On Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29, 2026, Maxey Auditorium at Whitman College will become a cinematic gateway to the natural world. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with films beginning at 7:00 p.m. each night.

This year’s lineup features curated selections from the internationally acclaimed Wild & Scenic Film Festival, highlighting stories of resilient ecosystems, courageous conservationists, and the heartfelt, often surprising ways people connect with—and fight for—the planet.

• October 28 spotlights films focused on agriculture and restoration.
• October 29 centers on salmon and other aquatic species, riparian restoration, and river health. Together, the two nights offer a compelling look at the future of working lands and healthy watersheds.

The festival serves as a fundraiser for Roots of Resilience and Tri-State Steelheaders, organizations dedicated to restoring and protecting the lands and waters that define the Walla Walla Valley. Proceeds support local science, advocacy, education, and hands-on restoration efforts. At a time when environmental challenges can feel overwhelming, the festival provides a meaningful way for community members to support local action and solutions.
