For the fourth Opera Festival at Layer Marney Tower, Wild Arts presents a fully staged new production of Tchaikovsky's masterpiece, in period costume directed by Dominic Dromgoole, former Artistic Director of Shakespeare's Globe.
Performed in the round in the Opera Barn, sung in English by a cast of 10 exceptional singers, with Tchaikovsky's wonderful score played by a chamber orchestra of fine chamber musicians.

You are welcome to arrive from 5pm to picnic in the gardens. The performance will start at 7pm with a 30-minute interval, finishing at approximately 9.30pm.
You will be able to pre-order picnics with your tickets, and there will be a bar for pre-concert and interval drinks, which you can pre-order.

The opera barn, picnic lawn and loos at Layer Marney Tower are fully accessible. The stalls seating in the opera barn is flexible and we can accommodate wheelchairs easily. The banked and raised seating areas are raised, with a varying number of steps. We will reserve parking places for blue badge holders by the entrance through to the opera courtyard. Getting there
Free parking. It is a 45-minute train journey from London (Liverpool Street or Stratford) to Witham station. There will be a transfer from Witham station to Layer Marney Tower, departing Witham 4.35pm and Layer Marney 10.15pm. You will be able to pre-book places when you book your tickets.
