“...warning, prolonged exposure to Jamie Catto could blow your mind..."
— The Daily Telegraph
We couldn't be more excited about this event we've put together in conjunction with Red Lion Books and CODA!
Jamie Catto is a British musician, filmmaker, author, and transformative coach. He co-founded the electronic music group Faithless and later created the global project 1 Giant Leap, which won Grammy nominations and sold over 300,000 copies. Catto is also known for his workshops and the bestselling book Insanely Gifted, which explores creativity and personal growth.
Jamie will perform songs and read from his new book, The Old Forest Path, a treasure of a children's picture book with evocative illustrations by Kanako Wakabayashi that intertwines themes of music, magic, and liberation. Set in an enchanted forest, it tells the story of a young fairy who, drawn by the captivating sounds of a mysterious piper, steps off the safe path to dance freely, ultimately dissolving the boundaries that confine her.
Red Lion Books is Colchester’s sole independent bookshop, established in 1978. Located at 125 High Street, it offers a curated selection of fiction, non-fiction, and children's books. The shop hosts monthly book clubs, author events, and supports local schools and the Essex Book Festival. Known for its knowledgeable staff and community involvement, Red Lion Books is a beloved cultural hub in the town.
This event will take place in CODA in Colchester High Street.
