2 Day Lightcatcher panel at Mulranny Arts, Co. Mayo

This two day intensive introduces students to stained glass techniques through the creation of a sculptural glass panel. Beginning with stained glass fundamentals, cutting, grinding and foiling, participants will design and create a large stained glass panel with glass embellishments. The course concludes with soldering and finishing, resulting in a unique, light-catching artwork to take home.

All materials and lunch included.

Day 1 – Stained Glass Foundations & Design 10am - 5pm
Design development for your panel. We’ll explore composition and structure, preparing your design for stained glass and found embellishments.
Cutting, grinding, foiling the glass for your panel. You’ll begin composing your piece, integrating your found embellishments into the stained glass design.

Day 2 – Soldering & Finishing 10am - 4pm
Soldering and finishing your larger panel. You’ll learn how to achieve clean structural joins, add final details, and finish your piece ready for hanging.
