What is Forest School?

Forest School is an outdoor, child-led educational approach that takes place in natural woodland settings. It allows children the freedom to explore, discover, and learn at their own pace in a safe and supportive environment.

This approach is grounded in the belief that time spent in nature improves physical, emotional, and social well-being. Forest School helps children build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and foster a lifelong connection with the natural world.
