A Winter Odyssey - Volunteer Training

Wild Edge Arts is presenting a spectacular Winter Odyssey event on Sunday 12 December, 3-7pm in Longton Park and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to be part of the magic and help make the event a success.

We’ll take visitors on a journey to mythical places with fire, lights, music and storytelling with giant puppet processions celebrating Greek Mythology. Volunteers will need to be available from 2pm in Longton Park.

We can offer a variety of volunteer roles from event stewards to performer support. You’ll find out all the details and be able to choose a suitable role at the Volunteer Training on Saturday 5th December, 10am-12pm at our base The Moony Club in the Longton Exchange.

The venue for the Volunteer Training is step-free and wheelchair accessible. Toilets are gender-neutral but located up two flights of stairs, which may be difficult for those with accessibility needs. The nearest accessible toilet is The Coffee House, around 200 metres away.

Longton Train Station is less than a 5-minute walk from the venue. There are multiple bus stops along The Strand, with services to and from Newcastle and Hanley.
