Step into the stunning landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park for a two-day women’s hiking trip designed to build confidence, skills and connection, in partnership with the Youth Hostels Association (YHA) Festival of Walking 2026.
Over two days this October we'll be based in the breathtaking area of Malham, one of the most iconic and beautiful parts of the Dales, known for its dramatic limestone scenery, sweeping valleys and the world-famous Malham Cove. This is the perfect setting to slow down, explore at a steady pace and build confidence in the outdoors alongside a supportive group of women.
During the trip, you'll learn the fundamentals of map reading and compass navigation, as well as essential hill safety skills for a range of weather and terrain conditions. By the end of the two days, you'll have the confidence to plan your own routes using a map and head out on hikes independently or with friends.

We’ll spend one night in YHA Malham, offering a comfortable base after a full day outdoors. In the evening, you can relax, refuel and enjoy a well-earned rest ready for the next day’s adventure.
All meals are included from dinner on the first day through to lunch the following morning, ensuring you’re fully looked after throughout the trip.

By the end of the weekend, you’ll head home feeling refreshed, more confident in your hiking and navigation abilities and inspired by one of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes.
Your ticket includes:
- Two days of guided hiking
- A practical navigation workshop
- A hill safety workshop
- One breakfast, one lunch, and one dinner
- One night's shared accommodation at YHA Malham

If you're able to contribute more than the minimum donation, your generosity will directly support future events and help more women access the outdoors. Every extra donation makes a real difference.
