Women’s Woodworking Day Retreat - A Creative Escape in Lancashire
This edition of our Wild Women Brunch Club will be led by Alice, who brings 8 years of bushcraft & woodworking knowledge and has supported nearly all of our Wilder Horizons weekend events. This unique one-day experience is designed for women who want to connect with nature, learn traditional woodworking skills and enjoy a mindful, creative escape.

We'll start the day with a walk through Cronkshaw Fold Farm identifying the trees around us and discussing which species are best for using in woodworking projects and how to sustainably harvest wood to work with. Then, under the guidance of Alice, you'll learn essential whittling and knife skills, gaining confidence in carving wood safely and effectively. Throughout the day, you’ll craft your own wooden mushroom pendant or keyring and a hand-carved butter knife, creating beautiful, functional pieces to take home.

Surrounded by nature, it's the perfect setting to unwind, focus and enjoy the process of working with your hands.
A delicious brunch will be provided, along with tea and coffee to keep you refreshed throughout the day.
Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this retreat offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, immerse yourself in nature and learn a new skill in a supportive and welcoming environment.
