Ever wondered what it really takes to become a Mountain Leader when you're starting from scratch?

Seven years ago, I hadn't even been on a proper hike. I didn't grow up in the mountains, I wasn't an experienced outdoors person, and I certainly didn't have a clear path towards becoming a Mountain Leader.

Since then, I've gradually built my experience from those first tentative steps to taking on multi-day hiking trails across the UK, developing my skills and confidence along the way, and eventually making the decision to retrain and pursue a career in the outdoors.

I'm Eva, founder of Wilder Horizons, and in this second Wild Winter Webinar, I'll be sharing the real journey behind that transition, including the things I wish I'd known when I was starting out.

From zero experience to the mountains

This isn't a story about being naturally adventurous or already knowing what you're doing. It's about how you can start from wherever you are and gradually build the skills, experience and confidence to go further.
