Join Wilder Horizons and Salt of the Earth for a special Wild Women Brunch Club: Hike & Nature Sketching led by our wonderful Mountain Leader and artist, Kelly.

This gentle and creative outdoor experience combines a relaxed guided hike with nature sketching, encouraging you to slow down, observe your surroundings and capture the landscape in your own way.

Led by Kelly, we’ll explore the outdoors at an easy pace, stopping along the route to take inspiration from the plants, trees, landscapes and tiny details around us. You’ll be encouraged to put pen or pencil to paper, experiment with different techniques and discover how sketching can help you notice and appreciate the natural world in a completely different way.

You don’t need to consider yourself an artist — this experience is all about curiosity, creativity and enjoying the process rather than creating a perfect finished drawing.

Along the way, you’ll explore:
✏️ Simple nature sketching techniques suitable for beginners.
🌿 How to observe plants, trees and natural forms through drawing.
🍃 Tips for capturing texture, shape, movement and detail.
🎨 How to use sketching as a way of slowing down and connecting with nature.
🥾 How taking a more mindful approach to walking can change the way you experience the landscape.

There’ll be plenty of time to pause, sketch, chat and enjoy the surroundings, creating a relaxed and welcoming space for women to spend time outdoors together.

Salt of the Earth brings a focus on natural wellbeing and simple rituals that encourage us to reconnect with ourselves and the world around us. With bright, zesty notes and a clean, refreshing twist, guests will be among the very first to get their hands on Salt of the Earth’s latest launch. Giving you something to take home and continue those moments of care and connection beyond the event.

Whether you’re already a keen sketcher or haven’t picked up a pencil since school, you’re very welcome. No previous experience is needed, just bring a sense of curiosity and a willingness to have a go.
