*Ticket sales end Wednesday 18th June at 12pm, when the baking will begin!*
Join us to celebrate the longest day of the year and the official start of summer. We will gather together in Rose Cottage garden, home of Harnham Water Madows Trust, and enjoy hot drinks, homemade biscuits and cake before setting off either across the water meadows or along the Town Path to watch the sun set (possibly through cloud, but we'll know it's there!).
As we gather and wander, we'll identify tree, wildflower and insect species. We may spot a Grey Heron or Little Egret in the ditches on the meadows, and should see bats hunting. Who knows what other wildlife we will see?
We’ll take a mindful pause together, noticing things that often get missed - the sound of flowing water, bird calls, the shapes of the clouds and the silhouettes of the trees.
Who is it for?
This event is suitable for anyone interested in wildlife and wellbeing who wants to spend time in nature with others, learning new things. We value diversity, and hope to create a community that reflects the breadth of people in our society. Please share any medical, mobility, dietary or other needs on booking, so we can plan activities (and snacks!) that are suitable for all.

FAQs
Do we go ahead in the rain?
We believe in getting out whatever the weather! Please assume the session is going ahead unless you hear otherwise by email the day before. We may postpone if the weather forecast is really wet/stormy, but will go ahead in most weathers e.g. light rain, showers. Always check the weather forecast and dress for the weather.
What if I'm late?
Please aim to arrive ready at the event start time. We'll start at the location below with hot drinks, cake and biscuits before heading off on a mini adventure.
