Meet the Trees
A guided nature connection experience exploring trees through folklore, ecology and mindfulness.
Slow down, look up, and discover the remarkable trees growing around us.
Join us for a gentle guided walk through the gardens at Bourne Hill, where we'll introduce you to some of the trees that make these green spaces so special. Along the way, you'll learn how to identify different species, uncover their fascinating folklore and history, explore their importance for wildlife, and hear about their traditional practical and medicinal uses.
We'll also take time to pause, notice, and connect with the natural world through simple mindfulness activities, inviting you to experience the trees with all your senses.
We'll finish in the Secret Garden with homemade cake, followed by a creative leaf art activity and a fun tree identification challenge to put your new knowledge to the test.

Who is it for?

FAQs
Why are there different ticket price options?
We want everyone to be able to attend our events. Those who are willing and able to pay a little bit more and book a Supporter ticket help to subsidise a place for someone who can’t afford to pay the Standard ticket price. Choosing the Supporter ticket allows us to offer Donation tickets. This kind of system is sometimes called 'pay it forward', and choosing to book a Supporter ticket is an act of kindness and generosity.
Do we go ahead in the rain?
We believe in getting out whatever the weather! Please assume the session is going ahead unless you hear otherwise by email the day before. We may postpone if the weather forecast is really wet/stormy, but will go ahead in most weathers e.g. light rain, showers. Always check the weather forecast and dress for the weather.
What if I'm late?
Please aim to arrive ready to start at the start time. We'll start at the location below by sharing some bat facts before heading off on a mini adventure.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel with over 10 days notice, we'll offer you a refund minus a £5 admin fee. No refunds are offered with less than 10 days notice of the event. If we need to cancel a session, we will offer a replacement event at a later date, or a refund for that event if it’s not possible to reschedule.
