New Traditions: Radical walking tour and record launch party

The table is powerful - it centres and unites. The good sessions I’ve been to revolve round tables, mainly cos people need something to balance drinks on, but they provide the perfect mechanism to preserve the dynamic - part performance, part private, public act. Those at the table may as well be at sea. It’s not that they don’t care about the water, it’s just that the water is best outside the boat. If you’re getting in you better be able to row, or steer, or play the fiddle.

Join us in Glasgow at GalGael for a proper session - an evening of tunes and grub to toast the release of New Traditions on Wild Raver. Live pipes, electronic, mooth and folk musics, auld and new, performed by:

GalGael is a community and venue based in Govan, Glasgow. They work together on demanding common tasks that demonstrate ways we can live with more humanity. Entry includes dinner, food will be served from 6–8pm and there will be vegan/gluten-free options. This is a dry venue so we will be serving non-alcoholic drinks.

Our pals at Radical Glasgow Tours will be leading an interactive pre-gig walking tour that explores local histories of activism, protest, political and social change in the local area. This 2-hour tour will start at 4pm and finish nicely in time for doors and first dibs on grub at 6pm. Exact start location and further details to be confirmed. Walking tour ticket-holders will be kept updated.
