Part one: An online e-learning package to be completed prior to attending:-

The 1 day face-to-face first aid workshop

Ofqual regulated, legally Ofsted compliant. Certificate valid for 3 years

Ideal for all who work with primary schools, childcare nurseries. childminders, and many more. Ideal for anyone who cares for children in a professional or non-professional capacity. You will gain the necessary skills to administer safe and effective treatment for a range of paediatric first aid situations.

Our state of the art e-learning resources program provided injunction with Qualsafe Awards enables you to gain knowledge and theory in your own time before attending a 1-day practical workshop, saving you time and money, safe in the knowledge you are still gaining a legally accredited  Ofsted compliant, quality  Paediatric First Aid qualification 

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one person with a valid pediatric first aid certificate on the premises and available at all times when children are present.

In this Qualsafe Awards blended course, you will still learn the latest techniques for dealing with emergency situations and managing injuries and illnesses that can occur while working with children.

  • Poisons Recognition and treatment
  • Anaphylaxis Recognition and treatment
  • Fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains-Recognition and treatment
  • Spinal injuries Recognition and treatment

PART 2 - 1-day classroom-based workshop to complete First Aid practical’s, recap knowledge taught on part 1-e-learning session, and included following topics :

  • Unresponsive casualty not breathing normally.
  • Demonstration of CPR & AED (primary survey theory covered in pre-learning) CPR & AED practical
  • Unconscious casualty breathing normally. Recovery position. (inc. seizure management)
  • Chokingcasualty – Practical
  • External bleeding Including treatment for shock and bandaging practical
  • Minor injuries: Small cuts, grazes, bumps and bruises, small splinters, nosebleeds.
  • Burns
  • Facturestreatment – slings – Practical (theory covered in pre-learning)
  • Head injuries, spinal injuries & practical
  • Anaphylaxis -Recognition, treatment & practical
  • Sepsis
