Building Reflexivity for Coaches and Supervisors

Mon 9 Nov 2026 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM British Psychological Society, nr Old Street, London, EC2A 4DT

What is reflexivity?

Reflexivity is the process of turning attention inward to examine our own beliefs, assumptions, behaviours, and identity – and then managing the impact of these factors on the quality of our interventions.

Why is this capacity essential for executive coaches and supervisors?

Our work requires us to navigate interpersonal and systemic relationships with clarity and awareness. Much as we might seek objectivity, our own responses, assumptions and history become part of the story and can interrupt our capacity to be fully present. Reflexivity allows us to continually hone our craft, to stay aligned with our values, and ultimately to be of greater service to our clients. Reflexivity is an essential requirement for mastery as a coach or supervisor.

Join us to spend a day working in depth with fellow practitioners in a small, thoughtful learning environment.

This workshop will help you deepen your reflexive ability by understanding more about the potential impact of your personal foundations and history and show how you can be more fully present. This helps you to “be your own supervisor” and raise the quality of choices available to you in your client work.

What previous participants said:
