Our home is a self build from 2010.

There is a large south/east facing window to maximise passive solar heat into the house. The downstairs heating is underfloor and the rest of the house radiators. Our doors and windows are all double glazed, there is floor/roof insulation. All to building regulation standard at the time.

In Feb/March 2023 we added 18 solar panels (400W panels) to the house roof and garage, battery storage (6 kw/h) and an e-car charger on the outside wall using the Wiltshire Council Solar Together scheme. We are now seeing good savings on our bills

(Parking is available at the front of the house when you are visiting).
