There is a new and exciting initiative sweeping the country that aims to inform people about the climate and nature crisis while at the same time giving us agency to respond, grasping the opportunities that this crisis represents, and giving our government the mandate to act.
Seats are free but limited. The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.
The The People’s Emergency Briefing Film, is followed by a facilitated and friendly open discussion, over refreshments, about what it means to our community and what we can do locally.
Program:
- 6.30pm - doors open and refreshments
- 7pm - welcome and film screening
- 8pm - open discussion
- 9pm - close
Local MPs, councillors and community leaders are being invited to attend and will be encouraged to take part in discussing how we respond as a community.
The National Emergency Briefing is supported by organisations across conservation, education, faith and civil society, including the Church of England, WWF, the National Trust, CPRE and the Royal Meteorological Society.
