Right in the heart of Wincle, our festival is back for the 9th year – and once again, we’re setting up in the field just outside the brewery. With the River Dane flowing by and the hills all around, it’s a truly special and unique place to spend the weekend. Inside our big marquee, you’ll find over 35 ales, ciders & larger to explore – all handpicked by us. If beer’s not your thing, don’t worry – our separate bar has you covered with Gin, Prosecco, and some excellent quality wine. We’ve got live bands, tug of war, face painting, and tasty artisan food stalls lined up throughout Friday evening and all day Saturday – plenty to keep everyone smiling.  Festival & Camping/Glamping FAQs

Festival FAQs:

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This is a family-friendly event with no age restrictions on entry. Please note that alcohol will only be served to those aged 18 and over, so be prepared to show ID when asked. Wristbands, issued with every ticket, must be worn by all attendees throughout the event. All children must have a ticket and will receive their own wristband as well.

What do I need to do when I arrive at the event?

Please collect your glass, wristband (both mandatory), and any tokens from the registration desk. There’s no need to print your ticket(s). To help avoid queues, please have your QR code ready on your phone or tablet for scanning. Please note, WiFi can be patchy, so it’s a good idea to download your ticket in advance. Thank you!

Why do I need to wear a wristband?

This event is designed to be fun for everyone, so we’re committed to preventing any disruptive behaviour. We ask that all participants, regardless of age, wear their wristband throughout the festival. Security will be stationed at the entrance, and no wristband means no entry. Please make sure to wear yours at all times.

Can I buy tokens at the event and how much are they?

Yes, tokens can be purchased throughout the event at a designated kiosk by the brewery or the gin bar after 8pm. The kiosk will be staffed during all festival opening hours, and you can buy tokens one at a time or in multiples.

The tokens are priced at £1.50 each and are redeemable in the following ways:

1 = 1/3 a pint of beer / any soft drink (£1.50)

2 = 2/3rds of a pint of beer (£3.00)

3 = 1 pint of beer (£4.50)

4 = 175m glass of wine / Gin and tonic (£6.00)

5 = 200ml mini bottle Prosecco

12 = 4 pint jug of beer (£18.00)

13 = bottle of wine or Prosecco (£19.50)

When can I use my tokens?

Your tokens can be used throughout the festival and in the Brewery shop on the following Sunday. They can also be used against any merchandise purchases.

Where can I use my tokens?

The beer tokens are valid for use in any of the bars: Main beer marquee and the Gin & Prosecco bar and the shop on Sunday. They can also be used against merchandise purchases in the shop before 31.07.2026.

Please note that they are not valid with any of the food vendors - they will accept cash or cards and use their own systems - please check purchasing options before ordering.

Why do I have to buy a glass?

Alcohol sales are strictly regulated by the Weights and Measures Act 1988, which specifies the exact sizes of units allowed for sale. Our glassware is specially designed to meet these requirements. If you have glassware from previous festivals that meets these standards, you’re welcome to bring it along. Please don’t risk any issues with our staff having to refuse service if your glass does not have the required weights and measures clearly marked.
Your glass is yours to keep as part of the festival - so please keep hold of it! Please note there are no refunds on glassware or entry tickets.

How do I find the event?

Postcode- SK11 0QE (This will take you to The Ship Inn Pub- simply carry on down the hill) *We recommend using Google Maps typing 'Wincle Brewery' for the most accurate directions*

Wincle Beer co. Tolls Farm Barn, Wincle, Cheshire, SK11 0QE

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

As a rural location, public transport options directly into Wincle are limited. The nearest train stations are in Macclesfield, Congleton, and Buxton, each with nearby bus stations—including Leek. From these towns, taxis are available to Wincle.

*Macclesfield Shuttle from Waters Green Tavern (Across from Macclesfield Train Station) to the Festival will run at 11.30am, 12.30pm & 1.30pm With returning shuttles at 10pm, 11pm & 12am. £7.50 Return!

Please note that mobile coverage in the area is patchy, so if you plan to use a taxi to get home, we strongly recommend pre-booking in advance, as late-night availability can be limited. There is also a public phone box located roadside at the entrance to the brewery for your convenience.

Who can I bring into the event?

Well behaved dogs (please keep on leads), children and adults are all welcome!

What's the refund policy?

Refund protection is available to purchase at the checkout stage — please ensure you read the Terms & Conditions carefully. Please note that direct refunds are not available.

If you're unable to attend, you’re welcome to pass your ticket on to someone else. Simply share your QR code with them.

Do I need to bring my printed ticket to the event?

There’s no need to print your ticket — just have your QR code ready on your phone or tablet for quick and easy check-in. To help avoid queues, please download your ticket in advance, as WiFi in the area can be patchy. Thanks for your help in keeping things running smoothly!

Can I update my registration information?

 Yes if possible please do this by 1st July wherever possible. Thank you.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes – as long as the recipient has the QR code linked to your booking, along with any relevant details (such as your pitch number, if camping, and the name under which the booking was made), they will be able to use your ticket without any issues.

Were possible please let us know and we can make notes. Email- sales@winclebeer.co.uk or camping@winclebeer.co.uk

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes no problem - as long as the person attending has the booking details.

Camping/Glamping FAQ:

Which field shall I book?

Please read field descriptions. We have a dedicated field for larger camper vans/caravans. These are limited and are a first come first serve basis and strictly for over 6 meter Campers/Caravans.

When can we arrive to set up for camping?

The Camping fields will be open to arrive from 5pm on Thursday 2nd July.  The Tap room will be open until 10pm Thursday.

What amenities are available?

Showers are available for £2 per person per shower (Free for glamping pods).

Toilets available in each field. If you need to empty your cassette, please ask of staff for directions to the disposal area.

Fresh drinking water is available in each field. Please ensure that taps are turned off after use, and that children are supervised while using the water points. Chapmans Row and Old Mill Field have flagged, signposted water taps (Glamping campers should use Chapmans Row, which is marked by a large flag).  Otters Pool and Football Field are equipped with standpipes providing fresh running water.

Do you allow BBQs and firepits?

Yes, BBQs and firepits are allowed provided they are used responsibly, always supervised, off the ground and safely disposed of. For more details, please refer to the health and safety section in the app.

Where do we dispose of rubbish?

There will be rubbish barrels/bags placed around the campsites. Please use them for your waste.

Can you guarantee our pitch number or with friends/family?

As our festival continues to grow, we’ll do our best to accommodate friends and family together. To help us with this, please book at the same time and include a note in the booking section.

Please note that groups must be booked in the same field to be placed together. While we do our best to honour pitch requests, allocations are never guaranteed and may be subject to change — even after assignment — due to safety or operational requirements.

If you have any questions, please email Emma at Camping@winclebeer.co.uk.

What are the pitch sizes?

5x5 Meters with room for a car in front in all fields apart from Chapmans row which will be 6x7 meters. If you have any queries about size of the pitches please contact us.

What do you recommend bringing?

We recommend bringing wet wipes, towels (if you plan to use the showers), torches, battery charging packs for devices (such as mobile phones), sunscreen, and insect repellent (highly recommended due to the proximity to the river). You'll also want to bring some cash or a bank card, a basic first aid kit, wellies for the unpredictable weather, all your essential camping gear, refillable water bottles, and anything else you might need to make your stay comfortable.
