Wine at the Shrine

Sat Oct 11, 2025 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM The Shrine of St. Anthony, 21042

Join us for a celebration of the Franciscan Center of Baltimore and Little Portion Farm – two nonprofit organizations striving to serve quality, fresh food to those who need it most, while caring for our earth. This partnership ensures hundreds of those facing food insecurity in Baltimore receive high-quality, made-from-scratch meals daily. All proceeds from the Wine at the Shrine weekend support these efforts.

Wine at the Shrine is Saturday, October 11 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the grounds of the Shrine of St. Anthony. And there's fun for the whole family: beer and wine sampling, sommelier-led wine tasting, local food trucks, live music, games, kids' cooking demos, hayrides, pumpkin picking, and more.

New this year, we are offering several raffle basket prizes. Tickets can be purchased online now or during the festival. You do not need to be present at the event to win.

This event would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors. With the help of our sponsors and partners, we can ensure the proceeds from this event go directly to supporting the ongoing work of the Franciscan Center and Little Portion Farm. We welcome corporate, family, and individual sponsorships. More information about becoming a sponsor can be found here.

More information about the two organizations this event supports:

The Franciscan Center of Baltimore
The mission of the Franciscan Center is to provide emergency assistance and supportive outreach to persons who are economically disadvantaged in an effort to assist them in realizing their self-worth and dignity as people of God. The Franciscan Center provides a wide range of services, including counseling and pastoral care, assistance with obtaining documents, eviction prevention, clothing donations, prescription assistance, mail service, and even a children’s library. The core of the emergency services provided is the soup kitchen which feeds hundreds of people every day. Additionally, the Dignity Plates Training Academy provides free culinary education to current or former clients of the Franciscan Center.

Little Portion Farm
Little Portion Farm is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars Conventual focused on providing fresh food to those in need while using sustainable farming methods to restore the health of our land. Since 2019, the first growing season, the farm has provided more than 100,000 pounds of fresh produce to partners in the community serving those living with food insecurity, including the Franciscan Center of Baltimore. The 3-acre farm functions as an “agro-ecosystem,” with a diversity of plants and habitats to support the life of this “little portion” of creation. In addition to common annual vegetable crops, sections of the farm are dedicated to fruit trees, berries, as well as native flowering plants in an effort to provide habitat for pollinators and other beneficial insects to reduce pest insects. The goal is not only to diversify the farm ecosystem, but also to be able to provide a wide range of healthy fruits and vegetables to those in need.
