In the idyllic setting of All Saints Church, the Festival Players, led by Icelandic virtuoso Eva Thórarinsdóttir (Associate Leader of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra), perform a programme of romantic string music that is guaranteed to touch the soul and lift the spirits.
The concert will feature two masterpieces for string ensemble: Mendelssohn's joyous String Quintet no. 2 and the ethereal Sextet in G Major by Brahms. The programme will also premiere a brand new work, Elemental Rhapsody, by local composer Isabelle Ryder.

Isabelle Ryder:
A former earthquake scientist with a first degree in music from Oxford, Isabelle Ryder is now a pianist-composer, jazz arranger and singer-songwriter. Her wide-ranging and colourful music straddles classical, jazz, folk, and soundtrack.
