Fed up with seeing Single Use Pollution in our green spaces? Worried about the amount of plastic ending up in our oceans? Then come and join our Wirral Way Spring trail clean!
As part of the of the Cool Wirral Climate Challenge we are running a series of events with partners to help residents join in the challenge. Cool Wirral has teamed up with Trash Free Trails, Energise Cycles and Active Wirral to put on a Wirral Way trail clean, helping you get active whilst leaving a positive trace on our local environment!
The session will start at the Banks Road car park in Lower Heswall near the Yot Café, head towards the Wirral Country Park visitor centre along the Wirral Way, removing Single Use Pollution as we go. Once we reach the visitor centre, we will loop back along the bridle way to the Banks Road car park to finish the loop.
After the walk we’ll count all the Single Use Pollution we remove and log it on the Trash Free Trails website. The session will last from 11-2pm so please do feel free to bring some lunch or snacks. Whilst all picking equipment will be provided, you’ll need to bring clothing appropriate for the weather so check out the forecast ahead of time.
The session will be accessible to all, no matter your mobility, so if you are interested then sign up!
