Scything Course

Steve Tomlison, a leading light of scything will run a scything course at New Ferry Butterfly Park (NFBP) to improve the volunteers scything skills and to make scything more effective and enjoyable. Note: course strictly limited to 6-8 volunteers, and this course cost is heavily subsided by the group. You will leave the course enthused and confident to scythe efficiently and safely. 

Please note:  There are two ticket types, one for WCV Members and the other for people who are NOT Members of WVC.  Please ensure you select the correct ticket type.

Refreshments (tea and coffee) will be available on the day.  Remember to bring a packed lunch.

PPE - safety glasses and gloves will be provided on the day. Please wear stout footwear and clothing suitable for outdoor working in changeable weather conditions.
