Training Day - Hedge Preparation

The hedge selected for the hedge laying training event needs to be prepared ahead of the training event on 7th November 2026... The objective is to break-in to the hedge to create sections of 8m to 10m lengths, distribute hedging stakes, etc..

Meeting Point: On Thingwall Road, opposite Whaley Lane, there is a road parallel to and set back from Thingwall Road, plenty of parking space.

For any novice hedge layers joining us, we will have appropriate PPE and tools on hand for you to use. 

Remember, wear footwear and clothing suitable for outdoor working in winter conditions.  Bring a packed lunch and refreshments with you too.
