Tree Identification Walk – Love Parks Week
Join Wirral’s Tree Officers for a guided Tree Identification Walk through Mayer Park as part of Love Parks Week. This relaxed and informative walk offers the chance to explore a wide range of native and non‑native tree species, as well as learn about the fascinating history woven into this much‑loved park.
You’ll discover practical ways to identify different trees by looking at their leaves, bark, shape, and other key features, and gain an understanding of the ecological and cultural importance of the trees that help shape our local landscape.
Please note:
- The walk will take place on paved paths, however sturdy footwear is recommended.
- Suitable for adults and older children with an interest in nature.
- Meet at the Green Flag by the park entrance adjacent to Mayer Hall ///bonds.recent.exists
Celebrate your local green spaces, build your identification skills, and deepen your connection with nature — we look forward to seeing you there.
No ticket is needed, but it helps us to have an idea of numbers, and allows us to communicate with attendees with reminders or about changes.
