Invasive Shrub Removal at Arrowe Country Park

Join Wirral’s Tree Officers for a practical volunteering session at Arrowe Country Park, helping to tackle invasive shrubs and care for the park’s trees and woodland areas.

During the session, we’ll be removing invasive shrub growth to give trees and other woodland plants more space and light to thrive. Wirral’s Tree Officers will be on hand to explain what we’re removing, why it is being managed, and demonstrate the techniques used.

No previous experience is needed. This is a great opportunity to get outdoors, learn more about practical woodland management, meet like-minded people, and make a visible difference to one of Wirral’s much-loved green spaces.

Please note:

• This is a practical, hands-on outdoor activity, so please wear sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for the weather and for getting muddy.
• Tools and guidance will be provided.
• Please bring gardening gloves if you have them.
