Consistency. Community. Calm.
Weekly instructor-led sessions to build your skills and your social circle.
Make the river a habit. Welcome to SUP Club; a safe, supportive, and social space based at our HQ in Defford. These weekly sessions are designed for those who have found their balance and want to make the water a regular part of their lives.
Whether you are looking to improve your technique, meet like-minded people, or simply find a consistent "reset" in nature, our club provides the structure and community to help you stay active all year round.
Spring 2026: Reconnect with the Water
April is the perfect time to return to the river. Our early-season Sunday sessions focus on rebooting your confidence and soaking up the restorative energy of spring.
Expect light-hearted sessions with a mix of gentle coaching, relaxed social paddling, and the occasional mini-adventure. We tailor every session to the group and the weather, whether that’s refining your paddle stroke or cruising past riverside wildlife. This is your chance to set a steady, positive tone for the season ahead.
Who Can Join?
The club is designed for paddlers who want to progress in a relaxed environment.
- Experience: You have completed a lesson with us or are a competent paddler.
- Skills: You are comfortable kneeling, standing, and steering.
- The Vibe: You want to paddle socially and enjoy the river’s quietest stretches.
Note: You do not need to own your own kit or be an expert at self-rescue (though you must be able to swim 50m).
Why Join SUP Club?
- Hassle-Free Restoration: We provide all the gear; boards, wetsuits, and buoyancy aids, along with free parking, hot showers, and changing rooms. Just turn up and head to the water.
- Safety & Integrity: Every session is risk-assessed and led by qualified, friendly instructors. We handle the logistics so you can focus on the flow.
