Join us for an afternoon at the apiary to continue our winter preparations. The winter treatment of colonies for Varroa with Api-Bioxal (the authorised oxalic acid based treatment) will be demonstrated as will the assessment of food stocks and application of fondant if required.
As in previous years, kits for members to be able to treat their own bees have been made up by our volunteers. Please order in advance at https://wnklba-1.sumupstore.com/ . The packs need to be made up so will NOT be available on the day unless pre-ordered.
Fondant & jars can also be ordered via the store link above for collection AFTER the demo, which we estimate will be approximately 1,30pm.
Refreshments will be available after the demonstration.
Experienced beekeepers who have used the treatment before may choose not to attend the demo and just collect their Api-Bioxal if they wish, no need to book but please do not arrive before 1.30pm as the sales team will be participating in the demo and will not be available to serve you until it has finished.
