The Human Side of Stuck- Why sustainability change stalls and what leaders can do about it

About this workshop

You care deeply about creating change, but somewhere between intention and action, progress gets stuck.

This session explores that gap not as a failure of strategy, but as something more human. Because often, what blocks change isn’t a lack of plans or ideas, but the unseen dynamics within people, teams, and organisations.

Drawing on systems thinking, the Inner Development Goals (IDG) framework, and inclusive leadership, this workshop surfaces the hidden patterns that shape whether change actually happens and whether it includes power, voice, and belonging.

This is an honest, practical, and reflective space for sustainability leaders who are ready to move beyond awareness and into meaningful action.

What you’ll learn

In this workshop, you will:

  • Understand why the intention-to-action gap is not a strategy problem, but a human one.
  • Explore the hidden dynamics within teams and organisations -including power, voice, and belonging- that can quietly slow or block progress.
  • Connect with the IDG “Acting” dimension, and the inner capacities of courage, integrity, and mobilisation needed to lead change.
  • Gain a practical reflection tool to help you identify where you may be getting stuck — and what your next step could be.
  • Experience a coaching-led space that supports deeper self-awareness and clearer, more intentional leadership.

You’ll leave with fresh insight, greater clarity on your role in the system, and a renewed sense of how to move forward with purpose.

Who is this for?

This workshop is for sustainability leaders and changemakers who feel the frustration of stalled progress and want to understand what’s really getting in the way. If you’re ready to look beneath the surface, explore the human dynamics of change, and lead with greater awareness and intention, this session will support you in taking your next meaningful step.
