CLIMATE SIBLINGS & SISTERS SHOWCASE - hope امید rajo أمل esperanza ਆਸ espoir fata

Thu 3 Apr 2025 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM Rich Mix, E1 6LA

Join us to celebrate the Climate Siblings and Sisters, with an evening of delicious food, exhibitions, film screenings, clothes swap, stalls and discussions.

This is the second in a series of events, showcasing the amazing work of those who have successfully completed Wen's Climate Siblings & Sisters Leadership programme*.

Throughout the evening we will explore what it means to see and hear a diversity of voices in climate discussions. Find out how the climate crisis intersects with our daily lives, cultural heritage and diasporic histories and how the climate crisis is a global and political issue rooted in capitalism, colonialism and patriarchy.

We will hear from the Climate Sisters of Claudia Jones Organisation and from the Climate Siblings of Revoke organisation, with knowledge and voices shared from around the world, including Yemen, Trinidad, Guyana, Niger, Jamaica, Barbados, Syria, Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, St. Vincent, Pakistan and here in London!

What to expect:

Drinks Reception & Climate Siblings and Sisters exhibitions (5.30pm - 7pm)

The evening will start with a drink's reception and delicious canapes (plant-based). You can soak up knowledge from around the world as you meander through the Climate Siblings & Sisters exhibitions set within the funky vibe of RichMix, located in the heart of Shoreditch.

Food and Discussions (7- 8.30pm)

We will move into the Studio to enjoy a glorious meal (plant-based) alongside some short film-screenings and informal discussions on each table hosted by your very own Climate Siblings and Sisters.

Accessibility: There will be a quiet space available and you can find out more about venue accessibility here.
