About Green Baby

The Green Baby Campaign explores the links between toxic chemicals, children's health and environmental justice, and campaigns for a future where babies and children can grow, play and thrive without unnecessary exposure to harmful chemicals.

Babies and young children can be exposed to chemicals through everyday products including personal care products, toys, clothing and other items used close to them. Toxic chemicals such as endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and PFAS are of particular concern because of their potential impacts on health and the importance of early-life exposure.

Parents and carers shouldn't have to become toxic chemical experts to keep their children safe. We need safer products, stronger regulation and collective action.

Become a Green Baby Ambassador

Our Train-the-Trainer Programme will equip you with the knowledge, confidence and practical tools to deliver Green Baby workshops and activities in your community.

You don't need to be a scientist or chemical expert. We're looking for people who are passionate about children's health, environmental justice and community action, and who want to share what they learn with others.

Through the training, you'll explore:

👶 Babies, children & chemical exposure
Why babies and young children can be particularly vulnerable to toxic chemical exposure, including the role of EDCs and PFAS.

🧴 Chemicals in everyday baby products
What we know about toxic chemicals in products such as baby personal care products and toys, and why it can be difficult for families to know what they're being exposed to.

⚖️ Environmental & social justice
How inequalities shape exposure and why safer products and protections need to be accessible to all families.

🏛️ Regulation, responsibility & systemic change
How regulation shapes the products available to families, who is responsible for chemical safety, and why protecting children cannot be left to individual consumer choices alone.

📣 Community action & campaigning
How communities can turn knowledge and lived experience into collective action, including through Wen's #NotOnOurBabies campaign.

What will you receive?

As a Green Baby Ambassador, you will receive:

• A full-day Train-the-Trainer session

• A Green Baby workshop PowerPoint with speaker notes

• Workshop and activity resources

• An Ambassador Resource Bag with relevant sample products

• Campaign materials and resources

• Ongoing support from the Wen team

What will you commit to?

Following the training, Ambassadors will be asked to deliver 2-3 Green Baby workshops or community activities over a 12-month period.

Workshops can be adapted to suit your community and audience and will typically last between 50 minutes and 1.5 hours.

We also ask Ambassadors to stay actively engaged with Wen, sharing their activities and experiences with us so that we can celebrate and amplify the work happening across the Green Baby network.
