We are delighted to invite Women's History Scotland members to our online socials. These socials are a fantastic way to connect with others in a relaxed environment. All members, both new and returning, are very welcome.

This month we welcome guest speaker Anna-Nadine Pike, PhD researcher in Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the University of Kent. Anna will present her research which considers the development of late-medieval textual traditions in Britain after the reformation, focusing on the sixteenth- and seventeenth-century manuscripts of the Huguenot scribe and calligrapher, Esther Inglis. Anna will also discuss Rewriting the Script, the University of Edinburgh's online exhibition marking the 400th anniversary of Esther Inglis' death, which she curated.

Before attending, we kindly ask that you read our Values Statement, which underpins all our activities. We value the experiences, skills, knowledge, and diversity of every woman, regardless of her background or circumstances. We are fully committed to diversity, respecting human rights, and creating opportunities for access, inclusion, and participation across Scotland. We are also dedicated to providing a friendly, professional, and non-discriminatory environment, ensuring that our Steering Committee members, partners, volunteers, users, and supporters treat each other—and are treated—with dignity and respect.

If you sign up for the social, the organisers will send you a Zoom link by email shortly before the event. We hope to see you there!
