Stirling Co RFC vs B&I National Wooden Spoon Vets Burns Matches and Supper

Stirling County will host matches between Wooden Spoon's British & Irish National Vets men's and women's teams against Stirling County President's teams before celebrating the life and works of Rabbie Burns at a charity fundraising supper. 

The day of rugby will include the Stirling Co.1XV game vs Lasswade 1XV.

Players, match officials, coaches, managers, supporters, partners, parents, friends and relatives of all teams (County, Wolves, Lasswade, Wooden Spoon and others) are all very welcome at both the rugby and supper.   Come for the whole day, the evening supper only (or the whole weekend).

Tickets for the Burns Supper must be purchased in advance and are available by clicking the blue button on this page. 

Note: Wooden Spoon players are required to enter the access code provided by their team captain to reveal player sign up options. All Wooden Spoon players are expected to attend the evening Burns Supper.

All funds raised on the day will be in favour of the local Wooden Spoon Region and will help fund local Wooden Spoon projects improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people close to Stirling.

Post match (drinks at club & hotel check-in if required)
19:00h Evening Burns Supper (seated 19:00h, food served at 19:30h)
Dancing till late
Carriages - 0100h
Overnight stay in Stirling Co (optional)

Sunday
Return home (also optional!)

WOODEN SPOON SQUAD ACCOMMODATION:

Friday
If planning to arrive on Friday, please independently book accommodation in Glasgow City Centre and be prepared for an informal social gathering on Friday evening.

Saturday / Matchday - We have reserved a limited number of rooms at the team hotel Stirling Highland Spa Hotel [NOW SOLD OUT]. 
There are other hotels nearby including a Premier Inn which should be booked independently.
