Welcome to Vets Fest!

Vets Fest is Wooden Spoon's unmissable rugby event for veteran players aged 35 and over. Join us for a day of thrilling rugby action and camaraderie, all while raising funds to support disabled and disadvantaged children and young people.

Players

• Age Requirement: 35 and over
• Make Up: Teams will be made up from players from community rugby clubs from across the UK, Ireland and beyond.
• O35 Rugby Teams: All teams will be 15-a-side and will represent a Wooden Spoon Region.
• Walking Mixed Touch Rugby Teams:  All teams will be 7-a-side with min. 2 men or women on the pitch at one time  
• Combination Teams: If your region cannot muster sufficient players by END OF APRIL, we will combine regions to form "barbarian style" teams.
• Sign Up: Click the blue button. To sign up as a player (O35s Walking) you must enter the case-sensitive access code provided by your Regional Team Captain.
  
• Vintage Vets (Men & Women over 50) EXHIBITION FUN GAMES: If you are over 50 and signed up as a player you can put yourself forward to play in the men's and women's exhibition game - Vintage Vets Women or Super Vets Men.
• Sign up deadline: You MUST sign up before 0900 on Wednesday 1st July.

Important Notes

• Player Sign Up: Non-transferable. If you cannot attend, your playing shirt will be posted to you after Vets Fest.
• Refund Policy: No refunds once playing shirts are ordered (on Wednesday 1st July). Before that date a partial refund may be available.
• Hardship Fund: You have the option to contribute to the Vets Fest Hardship Fund during sign up. This fund helps dedicated players who lack the necessary funds to take part in the Wooden Spoon vets rugby programme. The suggested contribution is £5 is voluntary but greatly appreciated.
• Merchandise: Wooden Spoon kit can be purchased as part of the sign-up process.

Camping

There are options to camp for one or two nights in your own tent or camper-van - NOTE- EVERY camper must purchase a camping pass.

Bell Tent Glamping
You can also camp in one of our glamping bell tents. Our bell tents are provided by Nomadic Northern Nights, and offer a comfortable and ready to go glamping option. All you need to do is find your tent and unroll your sleeping bag. Tents can host up to either 4 or 5 airbeds and each tent includes:
Insulated matting
Small side table
Fairy lights
Airbeds with fitted sheets for the specified number of campers.
Outdoor mat
Bunting
Sleepover kits (eye masks and earplugs)
Please note: bedding is NOT included.
