Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby and exists to make a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged children and young people through our commitment to quality charitable work. See our website www.woodenspoon.org.uk

Since 1999, you and your guests have helped to fund projects totalling £900,000, supporting a variety of great local causes such as Red Marsh School, the Boat House Youth and the Carers Centre. All of the money we raise at this event will be used to support vulnerable children and young people locally.

Our luncheon is one of the leading social events on the Fylde Coast. Our guest speaker this year will be James Haskell, the former England, Wasps, Stade Francais and Highlanders rugby player who later appeared in ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ He has subsequently forged a successful career in TV, radio, podcasting, journalism and even as a DJ.

Ticket prices are £85 each or £850 for a table of 10. Tables of 10 are the norm, but there are a limited number of larger tables available. Smaller and individual numbers can also be accommodated.

2025 sold out very quickly again, with 380 guests and over £20,000 raised for the Charity. I anticipate that this year’s event will also sell out quickly, a first come, first served basis will apply, so book now to avoid disappointment.
