Come to visit Broomhill Wood
Broomhill Wood is an RFS award winning 10ha mixed woodland containing a variety of silvicultural treats including high forest stands, an orchard, a nuttery, a coppice understorey and a small stand of P55 Coast Redwood. It is managed by Continuous Cover Forestry by the Wilkinson family, friends and neighbours.

We invite you to visit the woods either in the morning between 10.00am to 1.00pm or the afternoon between 1.00pm to 5.00pm. Tours with the owner will run at 10.30am and 2.00pm to gain a deeper understanding into the workings of this small but diverse woodland taking in everything from silviculture to sawmilling to squirrels.

As parking is limited to 10 cars at any one time, we ask that if you are joining us for the morning that you head off by 1pm to enable the afternoon visitors to be able to park.
There are some good pubs a short drive away for lunch.
A map will be available to highlight some of the features of the woods if you wish to explore yourselves.
There will be drinking water available but please bring your own hot drinks and food. The tour will stop at the cabin for homemade refreshments for which donations to Woodland Heritage will be gratefully received.
There is one compost toilet which is accessed via steps.
