Treske Open Day

Come to visit the Treske Workshop and Showroom.

Makers of beautifully crafted hardwood furniture & bespoke kitchens for over 50 years
Treske is an independent, family-owned firm, renowned for its fitted & free-standing hardwood furniture and its beautifully-designed bespoke kitchens in Yorkshire.

The Showroom will be open from 10am to 5pm.
There will be a timed tour at 2 pm.

The tour will be led by John, our lead designer; and Patricia, specialist furniture designer.
There are 20 places on the timed tour so please ensure that you purchase a tour ticket for this part of the event. 
Refreshments will be available after the tour. 

What to expect
The Treske workshops and showrooms are set over three floors within a former Victorian maltings.

There will be guided tours of the workshops showing the processing of raw timber to fine furniture, as well as refreshments for those supporting our charity Woodland Heritage. 

On the tour you will move from our wood store and breakout areas where timber is selected for each commission, through our ground floor machining with a wide variety of different machines, and then up to the middle floor cabinet making and finishing area. Work in progress may include tables, chairs, specialist work for churches, and of course kitchens.

We will explain the design and making process, the sourcing of our timber, the technology and craft skills we use, and how we keep the factory clean and safe. 

Treske has excellent parking and is easy to find adjacent to Thirsk railway station, while the historic town of Thirsk is also a great place to visit.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The workshop is over 3 levels, we have no wheelchair access.

Friday is a regular work day for the team at Treske so hearing protection will be provided.
