Our Hammock Bushcraft Overnight is designed for adults seeking a focused, immersive woodland experience, giving you dedicated time to deepen your practical wilderness skills and reconnect with nature. Set within our private woodland on the Llanforda Estate, you will master hammock suspended setups, tarp pitch geometries, tool use, and traditional firecraft. After building and securing your sleeping system between the trees, we gather around the fire to cook a hearty evening meal over open flames before turning in for a peaceful night under canvas.

What You'll Learn & Experience

• Hammock & Tarp Rigging: Master tree selection, knotcraft (ridge lines, friction hitches), and tensioning systems to set up a comfortable, weather-proof hammock and tarp rig.
• Tool Skills & Green Woodworking: Learn safe knife and saw techniques to craft essential camp items, pot hangers, or tent pegs.
• Fire Lighting & Campfire Cooking: Source natural tinders, master spark-based fire starting, and manage coals to prepare and cook a delicious campfire dinner.
• Evening Campcraft & Morning Routine: Share stories around the fire, enjoy the nocturnal woodland atmosphere, and wake to a freshly brewed campfire breakfast before packing down Leave No Trace style.

Venue & Facilities

• Location: Llanforda Estate, Oswestry, Shropshire.
• Facilities: Basic hand-washing station and toilet facilities are available at the woodland site.
• Directions: A comprehensive access map and detailed parking directions will be emailed approximately 4 weeks prior to the course.

What to Bring

• Clothing: Warm layers, weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and trousers, and sturdy walking boots.
• Sleep Kit & Gear: A warm 3–4 season sleeping bag, sleeping mat or underquilt (crucial for hammock insulation), and a headtorch.
• Food & Drink: Dinner, breakfast, hot drinks (tea, coffee, cocoa), and fresh water are fully provided. Feel free to bring personal evening snacks or drinks.
• Course Materials: DD Hammocks, tarps, tree straps, paracord, bushcraft tools, and cooking equipment are fully provided.
