Community Wellbeing Roles Network: Quarterly Meeting
Tuesday 26 March 12.30 – 2.00pm MS Teams
Are you working in a community facing role that supports the health and wellbeing of Worcestershire people?
>Your role and responsibilities are important
>Your own personal wellbeing is important
>You are important
In spring 2023, Worcestershire VCSE Alliance founded a support network for individuals working in Community Wellbeing Roles (including but not limited to Community Builders, Community Connectors, Community Development Officers, Community Health Connectors, Community Mental Health Link Workers, Disability Employment Advisors, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, Neighbourhood Social Prescribers, Social Prescribers, Social Prescribing Link Workers.)
The purpose of the Community Wellbeing Roles Network is to provide a space for you to continuously connect, support, and learn with peers in similar roles.
At each quarterly network meeting, we hear from a guest speaker, connect with peers from across the county, and contribute to the development of CWR practices. You can watch back previous meetings here: Community Wellbeing Roles Network
In addition to the quarterly network, we host monthly check-ins, which are informal online meetings designed to support each other to problem-solve, manage challenges and share recent learning experiences.
Join us at the next Community Wellbeing Roles Network meeting on 26th March and look forward to:
- Meet Holly Johnson (Non-clinical ambassador for the Hereford and Worcestershire Training Hub and PCN Operations Manager and lead the wellbeing team – Social Prescribers, Lifestyle Advisors, Cancer Care Coordinators etc) Holly will be working with the Alliance to support the network. She believes that: ‘It is important that there are peer network groups for non-clinical Community Wellbeing Roles, that offer consistency and equity, no matter what organisation you work for.’
- Peer inspiration! Meet Victoria King, Social Prescriber and member of REACH (Research Engagement and Community Health) steering group. Vickie also supports the running of the bereavement journey with the local community, part of Droitwich, Ombersley & the Rurals PCN.
- Time together as a supportive network and plan for future development of the group. This will be a chance to connect with colleagues from across the county and grow your own support network.
Please share this invitation with your colleagues in Community Wellbeing Roles.
