The Unthanks

This is an opportunity to see a show by one of the country's great folk bands, playing Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday 15th May.

Using the traditional music of the North East of England as a starting point, the influence of Miles Davis, Steve Reich, Sufjan Stevens, Robert Wyatt, Antony & The Johnsons, King Crimson and Tom Waits can be heard in the bands 14 records to date, earning them a Mercury Music Prize nomination and international acclaim along the way.

Rachel and Becky Unthank have become synonymous with sibling harmony The core band is completed by two more musicians of diverse influence - Niopha Keegan is a singer and fiddle player brought up in the London Irish tradition and also the multi-talented and multi-instrumentalist and singer Chris Price.
