Conversations with Baldwin Wrap Party
Words of Colour invites you to the Conversations with Baldwin wrap party to mark the end of this year's festival at The Ministry on Friday 13 December, 7pm - 10pm.
7pm - 7.15pm: Arrival.
7.15pm - 7.30pm: Welcome from Words of Colour (festival curator Heather Marks).
7.30pm - 8pm: 'James Baldwin & Black British Theatre', a conversation between Dr Deirdre Osborne and Anton Phillips.
Dr Osborne is the co-convener of the world-first Masters in Black British Literature (Goldsmiths, University of London), and director and actor Anton Philips‘ production of The Amen Corner at The Kiln Theatre (formerly The Tricycle Theatre) in 1987 was the first black-produced and directed play to transfer to the West End of London. Phillips directed a revival of the play, again at The Kiln Theatre, in 1999.
8pm - 10pm: Tapas and music, with DJ Hybrid J on the decks 8.45pm - 9.45pm.
