Working for Carers - Briefing Session for Carers
Do you look after someone? Are you looking for support with employment and education?
The Working for Carers project invites you to join our FREE online briefing session to hear about the support we can offer you throughout your employment and educational journey.
This includes finding and maintaining employment, education, volunteering and training opportunities, improving your employability skills, support with CV writing and job applications, understanding your rights as a carer in the workplace, and much more...
The project also has a participation fund to reduce any barriers to your employment, with grants funding items for you, such as laptops, interview clothes, training courses, and more.
You can expect to hear about how we can help you in your employment and educational journey, as well as have the opportunity to ask any questions about the Working for Carers project.
The session will be full of valuable information for carers, in a relaxed and judgement-free environment. It is aimed at all carers of all ages, whether you are currently in work or education, or not.
The Working for Carers project supports unpaid carers looking after someone in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland, throughout their employment and educational journey. It is a partnership between Newcastle Carers, North Tyneside Carers' Centre, and Carers Northumberland. This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with the North East Combined Authority as the lead authority.
Join us on Thursday 21 November, from 2pm - 3pm. This event is free and will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. You will be sent a link to the meeting on the email you signed up with, closer to the time.
