Description
Do you look after someone? Do you want to understand more about your rights as a carer at work?
The Working for Carers project invites you to join our FREE online 'Carers' Rights at Work' session to find out more about your employment rights, as a carer.
The session will be delivered with a easy-to-understand approach, especially around topics such as employment laws. It will be a relaxed and judgement-free environment. Both carers who are currently employed, or not working at the moment, are invited to the session.
You can expect to hear about your rights as a carer in the workplace, how to utilise your rights to support your caring role, possible future changes to employment law that may affect you, and how the Working for Carers project can support you. There will also be a Q&A session at the end.
Please note that this session will be recorded, however all personal and identifiable information will be removed, the recording will also stop before the Q&A session.
The Working for Carers project supports unpaid carers looking after someone in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland, throughout their employment and educational journey. It is a partnership between Newcastle Carers, North Tyneside Carers' Centre, and Carers Northumberland. This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with the North East Combined Authority as the lead authority.
Join us on Thursday 21 November, from 6pm - 8pm (including a halfway break). This event is free and will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. You will be sent a link to the meeting on the email you signed up with, closer to the time.
Any questions? Please get in touch with North Tyneside Carers' Centre and leave a message with Aaron or Christiane. You can call 0191 249 6480 or email enquires@ntcarers.co.uk.
