On a mission to diversify the drag scene, Top of the Slops is the

UK’s first paid drag competition.

Platforming marginalised performers, Drag Kings, Things, Non-White Performers, this is drag like you’ve never seen.

Hosted by the formidable Vanilla Parker Balls, mother to many, father to none. With her trademark wit and a massive slice of chaos, Vanilla guides our contestants (Slops) through 6 weeks of Lip Sync, Mic, Stand-up, Vocal, Costume, and various challenges, all aimed at helping these performers understand their creative strengths, be silly, allow themselves to experiment, fail, test mad ideas, make us laugh, make us cry, blow our minds, and leave us hungry for more.

Head Judge Shardeazy Afrodesiak will preside over the nonsense, providing live feedback to the Slops through each challenge. Meeting weekly before the live shows, giving advice, and creative support. Shardeazy will be joined weekly by two guest judges whose skills align with that week's challenge, and inform the judges decision on who is that week’s TOP SLOP.

But there is one more judge. THE AUDIENCE.

Each audience member receives ONE vote to cast to their favourite slop. This combined with the judges score and some very sophisticated maths decides who is the winner of each show! What do they win? A PAID GIG OF COURSE.

Top of the Slops has compassion at its core. Our audience is supportive and loves seeing the acts grow over the season. No one gets sent home, and there are only winners! Churning out icons into the drag scene, and creating paid opportunities for in-demand acts that have previously been marginalised. This a show for the love of drag. JOIN THE FAMILY.
