Double Trouble! An evening of classical music for flute and bassoon.

Sat 14 May 2022 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

St Mary’s Church, Worlds End Lane, BR66AG

Description

A delightful hour of music by two of the UK‘s leading musicians - local flautist Karen Jones and Ursula Leveaux, on bassoon.

Programme includes, Handel, Telemann, Gershwin, Piazzola and just a hint of JS Bach!

Tickets - £10 for adults; children free.

Introducing Green Street Green resident and flautist Karen Jones, alongside Ursula Leveaux on bassoon, these two internationally recognised musicians will treat you to an hour of varied and entertaining duo music by two members of the woodwind family. So far, Worlds End Music has been quite strings-heavy, due to the large numbers of London Symphony Orchestra strings living in the local area! So when we asked Karen for a concert and she suggested inviting Ursula down from the Lake District for a duo concert, we jumped at the idea! Biographies of the artists and more information about the programme and Worlds End Music can be found at https://worldsendmusic.com/.

The church can be chilly on a spring evening, so do bring a nice warm jumper!

Parking available in the church and streets around; local bus service R1, local stop Vine Road.

Location

St Mary’s Church, Worlds End Lane, BR66AG
