Get ready to cast your lines and, as we are thrilled to announce the return of our World Street Fishing event to the beautiful city of Metz.
After the success of the event in this wonderful and historic city in 2019 and 2021, we are excited to bring back this unique competition that combines the thrill of street fishing with the camaraderie of a community event. Anglers from around Europe will gather in Metz to compete for the title of World Street Fishing Champion and showcase their skills in the heart of the city.

2023 EVENT DETAILS

• Limited to 150 competitors
• All anglers must be 18 on the first day of registration
• Strictly catch and release
• Lure fishing only - No live baits
• Prizes from 1st to 10th place, Biggest overall fish + dedicated Team prizes 1st to 3rd place

New 2023: All participants including Helpers also pledge as a condition of entry to complete a shore cleanup and to post a minimum of 5 pictures on a Social Media account - All information available here

The sponsor link ensures a sponsor's name is associated with a competitor's name on the Official list including a link to the sponsor's website and other media as and when relevant prior to, during and after the event.

A minimum of 2 self-made posts published on the World Street Fishing Facebook wall. Once upon registration introduce the sponsored angler and one at the time of the event.

TEAM ENTRY
2 registered anglers can pair together and make a Team to represent a country/generic name or display the name of a sponsor/product
Team name:  cannot exceed 25 characters, can only use the 26 letters of the UK alphabet and numbers

Generic Team entry - country or generic

Sponsored Team entry - the name of a brand, shop, sponsor, product 
One (1) brand only* - with a maximum of 30 characters

COST OF ENTRY
Entry Fee: €80 per angler

Generic Team entry - Team name not related to a brand or product
€20 per angler - €40 per Team - 2 registered anglers required to make a Team

Sponsored Team entry - One brand/product/shop* only
€30 per angler - €60 per Team - 2 registered anglers required to make a Team

The official language of the event is English so in the first instance please use Google translate. Further assistance in Polish, French, Spanish and a little Dutch can be provided by the Angling Spirit team in that case please send your questions by PM on the World Street Fishing Facebook page.

• Welcome bags are only be given to participating anglers present on-site

* Team name will be checked - and found to be associated with selling or promoting a brand/shop/person will be considered as a Sponsored Team entry. 
* Official sponsors can have 2 brands as part of their Team name providing it remains within the maximum characters limit.
