The Women's Tree Climbing Workshop® is back to climb at Camp Hi-Rock!
Testimonial from Marina T., 2025 Hi-Rock Grad:
"Say "Yes!" to the workshop! It was the most empowering and fun three days I've ever had! Even for someone like me who has never climbed trees, learning from the compassionate and highly skilled instructors propelled me to get higher each day and helped me to gain the knowledge I need to safely climb, and the encouragement and support from the WTCW team as well as from fellow participants were exactly what I needed to overcome mental hurdles. I am so grateful for WTCW and hope to go back."
EVENT DETAILS:
Our annual September All-Gender workshop is back at Camp Hi-Rock.
Since 2009, the Women's Tree Climbing Workshop® has created tree-climbing experiences for professionals, tree lovers, nature enthusiasts, artists, and authors alike.
This workshop is a unique setting, between remote, rural, and nature abound. Come spend three days learning how to climb, or expanding your skills, while exploring and climbing in the magic property of Camp Hi-Rock.
This welcoming and empowering weekend will renew your spirit as you discover the magic of trees. You will bond with other tree people and you will leave with new social and sylvan communities.
This workshop includes food, lodging, instruction, use of gear, amazing swag, networking and 19.75 ISA (professional arborist) CEU’s.

Check in:
Check in is at Noon on Friday. Feel free to arrive earlier; enjoy some time walking, exploring, or reading under a tree. Allow yourself to come unplug for a bit in this 1,000 acres of magical, and peaceful bliss.
Travel:
Mount Washington is not the easiest to access. Car pooling, if flying, is the best. Car share programs (Taxi, Uber, Lyft, etc.). don’t typically want to travel the 1.5+ trip (from BDL, Bradley, CT or ALB, Albany, NY). Driving it’s about 2.5 hours from Boston and NYC alike. If you wish to coordinate rides with other participants, we will be sending out an email to assist with coordination with others.
Lodging:
Included at the Parker Seeley Lodge with comfortable bunk style lodging. Rooms offer 2-6 people per room. If you prefer to tent, plenty of space!
Food:
All meals are included in your registration costs! Friday: dinner, Saturday: breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday: breakfast and lunch. If you need special snacks, please bring them.
Tree Climbing Gear:
If you have your own tree climbing gear and wish to use it at the event, please bring it with your gear inspection documentation. Your gear shall be inspected and signed off by a WTCW team member before using.
Topics:
This workshop will cover all aspects of tree climbing. The course will be adapted to all participant's experience and competence levels. If you’ve never been in a tree, or you’ve been climbing for 10+ years come learn and play with the best. If you want to know more specifics, please reach out.
Clothing:
The weather can change quickly; please come prepared for summer, fall, and winter and rain! Please pack long pants, long sleeves, hiking (over the ankle) boots, rain and warm jackets, warm hat and gloves, and don't forget sunscreen and bug spray. Please come prepared; this entire course will be held outdoors and it’s classroom will be an outdoor tent.
Yoga:
Your yoga mat and blocks want to join in on the fun! If you don't have them, WTCW has some to share (first come, first serve).
Footprint Reduction:
Please bring your water bottle, travel mug, and snack container. A large water cooler will be available in the field.
