I Want to Climb Trees in VT

Leave the forest floor behind using harnesses and rope.  Ascend into Merck Forest’s canopy guided by the instructors from the Women's Tree Climbing Workshop®, an all-women instructor team with decades of experience elevating people into the canopy.

This is a full day of adventure, hands-on learning, and genuine fun. Open to all experience levels. Come meet the Merck forest and some VT trees.  Get to know a tree and life from a new perspective.

EVENT DETAILS:  

• Date & Time: July 11 · 8:45 am–3:00 pm · Slight accommodations available for participants who are hard of hearing or visually impaired.
• Please come to be present at 8:45am.  This event will be active, exhilarating and fulfilling.
• Each participant will receive an event t-shirt. (Please indicate size in registration) Thank you to the Vermont Country Store for your support!
  
• You will experience Being in A Tree while experiencing the art and science of Arboriculture, nature’s art, and the magic of the psithurism. This safe, empowering experience will renew your spirit, and allow you to bond with other “arbor-curious” people. 
• You will receive coaching,  instruction, use of top of line professional tree climbing gear, and an experience you will never forget.

LUNCH: Either BYOL or Add the "lunch" ticket option from the Dorset Union Store menu  (Include your choice in notes)

CLOTHING:  Vermont weather is quite unique and can change quickly. Dress for all weather! Remember sunscreen and bug spray. Please wear flexible, long pants and over the ankle hiking boots. Just in case items: long sleeves, rain & warm jackets, warm hat & gloves.  Please come prepared!

EQUIPMENT: All tree climbing gear will be provided.

• 6 weeks before event: Full refund (May 30th)
• After 6 weeks: No refunds
• If Waitlist: Refund -$100 admin fee
• Encounter a medical emergency? Communicate with us for potential course credit (must be used in same calendar year)
