Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month: Latina Trailblazers in Transportation

Join us on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Jacobs San Francisco Office for a conversation celebrating Latina leaders who are helping shape the future of transportation throughout the Bay Area.

Featured Speakers:

• Maya Esparza, Former San Jose City Councilmember, District 7, VTA

• Jasmin Mejia, Environmental Market Leader, AECOM

• Claudia Burgos, Executive Director of External Affairs & Customer Experience, AC Transit

• Emilia Sanchez, Director of Engineering, Port of Oakland

This event will highlight leadership journeys, lessons learned, and the diverse experiences of Latinas working across transportation planning, engineering, operations, and public service.
