The Jetsons in our Lifetime

Join us at our February WTS Lunch & Learn where Jared Esselman, VP and Director of Aerial Innovation at WSP, will give a comparison between science fact and science fiction in relation to advanced air mobility, along with timelines as to when we can realistically expect these innovations.

He will tie this all together with how advanced air mobility will intermix with all forms of transportation and showcase that with how aviation already does this in some cases.

Jared began his career in aviation after the attacks on September 11, 2001. He enlisted in the US Air Force and served as a Loadmaster on C-17 cargo aircraft. Jared conducted combat missions in both Iraq and Afghanistan as well as Bogota, Colombia. After his military service Jared served in the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs under George W. Bush. He graduated from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government with a Masters in Public Policy. He has used his education and training to pass aviation legislation in 25 different states including Utah. Previous to working at WSP Jared led the Utah State Aviation System as Director of Aeronautics. Today he works to progress the electrification of airports and aircraft.
