Your Voice Matters: Help shape Wolverhampton’s Voluntary & Community Sector Strategy 2026
City of Wolverhampton Council’s consultation on the draft Voluntary & Community Sector Strategy 2026 is now open, and WVCA is hosting a series of workshops to gather feedback from voluntary, community, social enterprise and faith organisations across the city.
The draft strategy sets out how the council aims to work with and alongside Wolverhampton’s VCSEF sector, recognising the sector as an equal partner in shaping the future of the city.
This 90-minute workshop is your opportunity to share your views, reflect on the direction of the strategy, and explore what would help it work well in practice.
The session will be practical, constructive and discussion-based. We will look at:
- what feels positive about the strategy’s overall direction
- where the strategy may need strengthening
- how clearly it reflects the reality of the local voluntary and community sector
- what would help the priorities become meaningful in practice
- where early focus and action may be needed
This is not a line-by-line editing session or a full rewrite of the strategy. Instead, it is a chance to sense-check the overall approach and gather practical feedback based on local experience.
Your feedback will form part of the wider consultation and will help City of Wolverhampton Council refine the final strategy and shape future implementation planning.
The consultation closes on Sunday 9th August 2026.
Please book your place to attend one of the workshops and help make sure the voice of Wolverhampton’s voluntary and community sector is heard.
